May 4, 2020- Sergio Pino, CEO of Century Homebuilders Group, announced today that they have now resumed work on all of their job sites.

After weeks of frustration and dealing with workers getting sick and testing positive for the coronavirus, Century Homebuilders Group decided to shut down all of its construction job sites until they could implement stronger safety measures that would reduce the risk of exposure of the virus.

During the shutdown, all job sites were thoroughly professionally cleaned and disinfected.

Also, during that period Century Homebuilders Group entered into an agreement with Secure Work USA to purchase COVID-19 rapid tests so that everyone who enters a Century Homebuilders job site be tested before being allowed to work.

The tests are being administered by professional nurses.

Those who tested negative were allowed to enter the job sites and to get a pass to come back for five (5) working days.

Those workers who are tested positive for the virus were asked to go home and quarantine. The salaries of those workers sent home will not be affected.

With this proactive step, plus all of the other workplace modifications like wearing masks, gloves and maintaining social distance we are hopeful that our job sites be corona free workplaces.

Century Homebuilders Group has been at the forefront of ensuring that safety measures are implemented and enforced to protect construction workers in Miami-Dade County. Century Homebuilders Group remains committed to raising awareness of any issues that pose health hazards amongst construction workers.
